Atari's been around since 1972. It released numerous consoles, a handheld gaming device and other products over the course of several decades.

This isn't the Atari of yester-year either. The name lives, but there is nothing left of the original company. The left hardware, went to software publishing only, and disappeared into their owner's IP portfolio.
