Trend Micro security researchers discover that the Hacking Team was selling spyware called RCSAndroid that could remotely control Android devices. Similar spyware was also found earlier to target iOS devices.

Wow!! Taking advantage of some little vulnerability of android browsers to install a backdoor. Then they can spy on anyone. Do anything on phone, fully spying. This is should not go on the bad hands, I hope so. Of they r selling a spyware tool, a backdoor, they also have to sell the defender of that, such that people will defend themselves from such spying backdoors. And the main advantage of the vulnerable phone os installing app from unknown sources. Now we can't even trust the play store.

They even don't need to exploit the browser. The people just got bombed by just a spam. People that know something about this, protect themselves from spams AMD such things. Rooting your phone for some apps may be harmful but we need to be more aware. Monitoring the background process and CPU usage can help to find what's going on actually behind. If we find some suspicious, we can do actions on it.
