[citation][nom]amuffin[/nom]That card is supposed to be around 560ti-570 performance Essentially a beefed up 550ti that is worth the $150![/citation]
the 560ti is still at around 180-190. if this is around the performance of a 560ti and a 570, it is VERY doubtful itll be anywhere near the 150 price point. itd be around post 200 price point and the 560ti would drop(I say this considering that new gen clones of cards are always more expensive than their previous versions, and usually more efficient.)

I suspect this will be closer to a regular 560.

im expecting it personally to perform near a normal 560 as well. it just makes more sense to me if nvidia is going to almost go 100$ at each price point

100$ 640
160-180 (albeit not 200, its not gk 104) 650
300 660ti
400 670
500 680

then nvidia can safely say that it tried to get a gpu at each price point.

AMD has had their cards out for forever now, any non-biased buyer who simply wanted a graphics card would most likely have already bought an AMD card. Doesn't Nvidia lose a ton of money by waiting so long to release the rest of their cards? By the time they finish releasing all of them, AMD will have a new generation of faster cards!

at least from what I've seen based on the benchmarks, I'd be disappointed in the GT640's performance if I had to pay anything over $90... :/

I think its more to the line of replacing the 450 GTS, 550 TI as a budget gamer card. I would expect the price to be around $120 with MIR's for around $88 as was the 450 GTS when it was released.

It is actually not so simple. This card is in the market 5-6 monts before AMD next generation card. So anyone who simply want a graphic card will buy it before 8000 series is out...
But yeah, Nvidia 28nm cards have been late this time, but it does not mean that there will not be customers to them, if they are any good!

[citation][nom]esrever[/nom]The 650 would have a hard time beating the 7770. Probably just slightly faster than the 7750 with the current specs...[/citation]exactly, it is just 384 kepler core, I am amaze that people actually think a 384 kepler core + 128bit 6GHz card can be on par with a 560/570.

imo gtx 650 will come at $150 price point...replacing previous gen gtx 560...gtx 650 will beat 7770 in terms of performance...the situation will be like this for nvidia...

gtx 680 - $500
gtx 670 - $400
gtx 660 Ti - $300
gtx 660 - $200
gtx 650 - $150
and so on...

Overview:
GTX 650 (2012) is the successor to gtx 550 ti (2011) and will easily beat amd radeon hd 7770 GE when it comes to performance...

currently 7770 g3d score sits at 2058...where as previous gen gtx 550 ti scores a little low at 1886...definitely gtx 650 will be much powerful than gtx 550 ti eventually beating the competition w.r.t. performance...

price point seems to be around $150 upon release replacing gtx 550 ti @ $150

but nvidia is just too late considering the fact that amd launched mid range & entry level gpu's a few months ago

* a must buy gpu for budget oriented consumers

If the 384 cuda cores are from a Kepler architecture, then the GTX 650 ti won't even be close to a GTX 560 ti. Remember 384 kepler cores=192 fermi cores. So it is essentially an overclocked gtx 550 ti.

I would really like to see how this card performs around a regular 560. NVIDIA should really step up their mid-range cards. Their high-end cards provides competition to AMD/ATi but I just don't see the same in low-end/ mid-range sections of NVIDIA.... :/
