TSMC customers are reportedly dealing with six-month-plus lead times for the semiconductor manufacturer's 7nm chips.

4G$ more into 7nm is only 1/4th to 1/5th of a new fab. Adding 20-25% of one fab is merely a drop in the bucket of 7nm demand, doubt that will have any meaningful impact on TSMC's back-orders any time soon. Whatever slight improvement this may yield on order turn-around time will be immediately offset by extra orders bringing the queue back to whatever the customers can bear before they consider looking elsewhere or sitting it out. I bet AMD increasing its Zen 2 wafer orders to meet demand would eat a large chunk of TSMC's 7nm production bump on its own.
