I played UO originally back when they release T2A and for approx. 2 years.

I left to try some other MMORPGS but longed to come back. A couple of years
ago I did come back briefly for a couple of months before work (and I
suppose my life) overtook me a little.

Ive recently purchased the 7th Anniversay edition and i want to get back
into UO in a big way, my question is which of the gifts shall i take.
Bearing in mind i am going to start a new account so ill be starting a new
character I probably wont hang on to the gifts ill sell it, which one will
give me the most initial income?

Well, if you're playing on Atlantic I know someone who would pay
1.2 million gp for an Ancient Samurai Helm. 😉

my sister bought the holy sword for 880k at the bank last week.

I still say--take fireplace or tapestry for the best $

If you can wait a week or 2 I'll pay that for the Helm on Europa... no idea
whether it's a good price, I haven't researched it yet.

Good thinking.

Just stay away from Atlantic. IT's a server where all the Scammers hang
out, like WindsorFox

I see the other stuff sitting and not selling for 2.5 mil on vendors.
Given the fact i've never seen either a FP or tapestry on vendors, my
guess is 3 mil + for those. There's lotsa female players out there who
like decorating more than they like samurai helms and blue x bows.

Best shot might be to go to bank and auction off your gift pick to the
highest bidder and let him choose what he wants. you just need to do it
in such a way that you're confident the winner will pay off either
because he's giving you something up front, or because he's a got a good
rep with people who bank sit and know who he is

Ive done it now - the fireplace was bought by someone for 1m gp. thats
enough for me. I figure that most people will get this soon anyway ;-)

Of course you can buy a million GP on ebay for like, $10. If I
had a fireplace I'd put it in mah house...

Only too well! My partner is not interested in a large bod for a barbed
runic, but wants those for tapestries and bear rugs!! I don't mind, as we
have an arrangement 😉
