Personally, I thought the aiming felt really wonky, even when I played
around with the mouse sensitivity. Plus, the graphics are very "Unreal
Tourney 2k4"ish which isn't terrible, but a little behind the times. Didn't
care for it.

Have you tried moving your Xbox further away from the PC? It could be
the RFI from the Xbox interfering with the PC....

You're a true idiot, you know that? Republic Commando is a downloadable demo
for the PC version from LucasArts' site. (laugh)

Yes, I know exactly what you wrote.

Funny how The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is earning a
ton of PC magazine awards... gee, why is that?

Hm. You like horseradish. Odd choice for foot-eating.

Jonah,

BTW, on a serious note re Xboxes:-
-----------------------------------------------------------------
LOS ANGELES - Microsoft Corp., the world’s largest software maker,
said on Thursday it will recall 14.1 million power cords for its Xbox
video game console after a defect gave some users minor singe burns
and scorched carpets.

Robbie Bach, chief Xbox officer for Microsoft, told Reuters the recall
covered all Xboxes made for continental Europe before Jan. 13, 2004,
and units made for the rest of the world before Oct. 23, 2003.

see:-

----------------------------------------------------------------

I and one of my sons happen to own Xboxes of the above vintage.
The replacements came very quickly.

Thanks for the helpful feedback.

I didn't like the demo either. Gameplay is simplified in many ways,
small levels, huge HUD and overall feel was very consolish. Might be a
fun simple game on a console though.

I did. Not particularly impressed because:

1) Jerky on a system that runs Far Cry maxed out, for no apparent reason.
2) Oversimplified tactical shooter aimed at consoles.
3) Stupid annoying banter between squad members that only someone who thinks
shouting "let's get it on!" like the marine in Aliens is cool would like.
4) "New" Star Wars. Mbleh.

The only "port" I have found that with was Halo as it had its own AA
built in.

Same here (system: 2600+, 9800 Pro, 512MB). I tried setting the mouse
from everything from sensitivity 3 to 10, and even lowered the graphics
to 800x600, no eye candy. Nothing worked.

Do you have AA forced through your ATI control panel? If you do turn AA off.
You can then turn it back on in the game. I ran the demo great at 1024x768
with 4x AA on my old GHz, 9800Pro. JLC

Which is what killed its performance on most systems unfortunately.
