yes during the installation it should tell you that there is already a partion in place, it will give you the option to delete that partition and create a fresh one to install Win7 , do so and everything should go smoothly.

Okay, so it did give me the prompt to override my previous windows, but it has been on the first step "Copying Windows Files 0%" for about 15 minutes now. I'm guessing that means bad news for me ssd? Also, I'm installing windows 8.1 instead of 7 again. I don't think that should matter though.

If there's no progress after 15 minutes, something is wrong. You may have messed up something on the SSD previously. See if this guide will help you sort out the issue. http://www.overclock.net/t/1156654/seans-windows-7-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds
You have to click open the inks to progress. The section under "Configure a drive using a BIOS/UEFI motherboard and MBR format" details how to use the CLEAN command to ready the disk.

Do you have any way of entering Win at all? Safe Mode? If the SSD is totally devoid of the Win OS, you will probably have to install Win on a HDD... at least temporarily so you can try to see what is wrong with the SSD.
If it was the reinstallation of Windows that formatted the disk it shouldn't have done any harm. Also, if you're trying to install Windows 7 and 8 as well, 10 wouldn't be able to activate if it was upgraded from one of those two.
That said, it's al academic because you've asked for your account to be closed in an alert to the Mod Team and so be it.
