Request help in determaning what type of ram to by

Solution

2 x DIMM, Max. 8GB.
When you have a 32-bit OS and you have more than 4GB of RAM,the OS still reads it as 4GB.However,if you would to install a 64-bit OS,then it would read the amount of RAM you have installed on your motherboard.
Once again, you can't have 16 gigs of RAM on your current mobo.
8 gigs is enough for gaming. For editing however,16 gigs is better. But you would need a new mobo for that.
Get that same RAM (G.Skill Ripjaws X) but 2x4GB @ 1600 MHz. :)

According to a scan i ran using CrucialScan i can support a Maximum memory: 16384MB
And i was told since i am running 64bit OS i could use more ram then if i was using 32bit.

Im sorry i dont mean to sound as if im auguring its just that i have to sets of info now.
I value any and all input.

Ya i saw the specs tab for my mobo, im dumb.
I see now where it says it supports only 8gb.
But are you sure about the 1600MHz i was under the impression i HAD to use the same 1333MHz

Ok, Well thank you very much for your help tonight.
I found the ram in 2X 4Gb sticks, Just my luck, The site is sold out LOL

Thank you again.

Oh and just so I know for the next mobo i buy so i dont need to bug anyone.
What set of numbers do i need to look at to determen the proper MHz of the ram on my mobo specs.

Thanks again again :)
