Hello everyone,

I have been looking to upgrade from my old core2duo system for a long time, and I have finally decided to pull the trigger.
What I was looking for was a complete build without a GPU. I'm currently using a GTX 660 (which was horribly bottlenecked by my old cpu sadly...) which I plan to upgrade from in around 2 months.

Additional info:
system usage - AAA games, new MMORPG games, moderately simple work with video editing and blender 3d software,
no need for OS,
not interested in overclocking,
monitor 22" ASUS VW222u, 1650x1080
not interested in sli/cf
I'm located in Poland and hardware prices are a bit higher than in the US, but I have taken that into account (adjusted for the avrg price diff) while setting the 800$ limit.

Without further ado, this is what I came up with so far, and what I'm asking to evaluate:

mobo: Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H Intel H97 LGA1150 BOX
cpu: Intel Core i5 4690 LGA1150 BOX
ram: Crucial DDR3 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz Ballistix Sport CL9
ssd: Crucial SSD M500 240GB SATA3 (CT240M500SSD1)
case: Zalman Z9U3
PSU: Thermaltake Smart SE Modular 630W
optic drive: Samsung DVD SH-224DB OEM

Also, considering the current market trends, I have narrowed my future GPU choices to R9 280X/GTX 770 OR a R9 290 in case the prices in my location drop to near-US level which is around 400$. And that is why I have decided on a 630W PSU, since the price isn't so far from 500-550 ones, and having a 'little extra' helps me sleep soundly.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty solid build, but I'd recommend a different case. Perhaps the Fractal Design Core 3000 - how much would you be willing to spend on a case?

Ill look into Fractal Design Core 3000, i picked Zalman Z9U3 since my friend recommended it and said its pretty sturdy and has a lot of space for this price range.
About psu, would a XFX Core 650W really be that much better? I picket TT 630 since it had such a good reputation :)

I agree with what n3cw4rr10r says. About the case, you can get more bang for your buck with A Guardian 921 RB from NZXT (plus it looks sexy), and, make sure you know how many watts your GPU will take up and plan your PSU accordingly.
