Requesting a couple of ATX case suggestions

Hey guys,

My brother's moving practically out of state (From central TX to the Panhandle), and before he goes, he's asking me to rebuild his PC I built him years ago into a smaller, lighter, case. I may know all the other components pretty well, but I'm pretty mediocre when it comes to cases these days.

Current case is the ol' CoolerMaster HAF 912
"Too heavy. Too big. Ugly." Tha'ts how he describes it.

Can y'all suggest 1 budget case of around $50-75 and 1 premium case that will fit this bill:
CPU cooler: 159mm Hyper 212 Evo
GPU length: 297mm Gigabyte WF 970
CD drive optional
1 3.5 HDD 1 2.5 SSD
Black in color, LED/Side window not necessary
ATX Mobo. Gigabyte 990FXA UD3
Smaller and lighter than the HAF 912.

Thanks guys.

Solution
Better, smaller, lighter and cheaper than the 912 is a tall order give that the ole 912 is severely discounted and we need to keep the ATX form factor.

The Phanteks 400S (Silent) is a great case for the price ($65) ... about 2.5 pounds lighter but not significantly smaller ... maybe an inch in each dimension. The non S version is $6 or so cheaper

As ya start stripping weight, have to start worrying about rigidity. To get smaller, a mATX or ITX would give us some room.

Hadn't seen one of those before. So far I think I'll suggest him the $69 black P400 and a $58 Corsair Carbide 200R as the basic/cheap option. Carbide's cheaper and lighter by a few pounds than the P400 but for the $11 price difference, I'm pretty sure that P400 is taking the cake. Don't think we're getting smaller/lighter for that ATX mobo that wouldn't be worth replacing, though.

Thanks! I'll wait around for a few hours, see if any other good suggestions appear.

Yes, the p400S is all the rage right now ... everyone ooh'ing and ahh'ing all over youtube for what it delivers for the price... and the S version provides additional silencing / sound dampening features so worth the $6 extra. We used to keep a recommended case list which include various brands / models in several price categories. But I think Phanteks has taken a "Case of the Year Award home 3 or 4 years running from Computex so the list has narrowed quite a bit.

We have an Enthoo Primo, Enthoo Luxe, Enthoo Pro in this room and have an Enthoo Evolv TG (Silver) on the 'purchase list' waiting for the GFX card availability on a silver build w/ Xpower Titanium MoBo, Silver RAM and MSI 1080 Ti EK X w/ preinstalled water block.
