To give some background on what I'm trying to do:

• Strictly offline gamer - no multiplayer or online gaming needed
• Trying to make a gorgeous build that will allow me to enjoy RPGs and the like at full ultra settings.
• Ideally targeting as quiet a build as possible.
• Totally new to building a PC, so unsure as to whether I've gone overboard with fans! I have five in there currently, and case already comes with two RGB fans. From what I've read online, fans might not be the best pre-installed with the case, so I was thinking of adding three (one at front, one at top, one at back - all producing colour - with a further two non-RGB fans, one at top, one at front). Is this overkill?
• Have read forums and reviews to try and pick best motherboard and brand of RTX 2070 Super, but again am a little unsure if I've chosen good options.
• Happy to reduce costs if there are better/cheaper options that will provide just-as-good or better performance than what is currently included.

I asked this question over on the PC Part Picker site as well. I got one response (see here - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/forums/topic/345759-thoughts-on-my-build ), but I'd love to get some other thoughts on it, along with some reasons on why I should make the changes.

I feel any i5 is a bad buy when you can get the Ryzen 3600/3600X/3700X. Are you ok switching to AMD?

Yeah, I've no issues with that. I've simply never owned an AMD, so I don't know what best to match it with (i.e. motherboard, CPU cooler etc.)

The 650W Seasonic would work too for a few quid less. Gigabyte recommends a 650W PSU for that GPU.
The 3700x is 8 cores 16 threads is a very nice CPU compared to the 9600k is 6 cores 6 threads
It's a good cooler for the price 6 heatpipes and a very quiet high end fan
The motherboard has very good VRM design and is great for the money, swap to the pro carbon for better audio and LAN but you may need to flash the bios from a usb stick
The m2 I picked is one of the best performing ones available, swap to the Crucial P1 for a more budget friendly nvme ssd

Why AMD? Better price to performance ratio and better potential upgradeability.
Why dark rock pro? Because the price is great.
Why the motherboard? It has X570 chipset and great VRM design for its price.
Why the Intel SSD? It's a cheap NVMe that performs really well for the price.
Why the Phanteks case? I like the looks of it, you can do with anything else, though.
Why the PSU? It's an excellent unit (performance, build quality, and noise) for the price that's going to be balanced for your system. At full gaming rendering/load, it will only load the PSU around 60%, which is about where you want it at.
