Requesting help on reparing Windows 7 update

Hello everyone,

I have been having trouble getting my son's comp to work. I have tried doing a windows update but come up with an error.

I have followed the steps on this link, up to the point of checking which file is corrupted. Below is a pic of the text file saved. When attempting to fix the issue I was expecting to find one file that needed to be fixed. On the text file it shows much more than expected.

I wanted to ask would there be a core file that can be fixed then the rest would be repaired automatically, or would it be better to do a full reformat?

Option C try to talk my wife into letting me get a new computer and giving mine to my son?

Win 7 Bit OS
NVidia Geforce 9500GT
I am having trouble pulling up more information, when I attempt to get a full system information the screen reads "This page failed to load."

This computer has had issues and I recently reformatted the system with a lot of trouble, eventually having to use the disk drive from a sister computer to install Win 7 (valid version).

The computer seemed to work OK for a bit, then I tried to load something through the disk drive and the tower is still works in general, but I am unable to run updates. I get the 8007007E error.

Seriously though, I'm not sure what link you're referring to, as there is no link on your post. I'd be happy to help, but we need a little more detail in the circumstances leading up to the issue and exactly what you've tried so far. Include any recent hardware or driver changes and your full system specs including model numbers of hardware or the entire machine if it was a prebuilt unit.

The difference between the disk drive in the system that is not working and the one that is.

The one that is not working has an SATA connection cord to the hard drive, the one that has no problem has a IDE connection cord.
