So I just finished my build and turned it on, went on smoothly no issues. I go into the Bios to set up how Im going to install the operating system (windows 7) I hit save and exit, it then says loading windows files, it brings up the windows 7 screen and gives me the options to pick my language, time, and keyboard method. But the issue is after I hit save and exit I noticed my.keyboard and mouse both shut off. I tried doing it again, keyboard and mouse both work fine in the bios but when I go to actually install the OS my keyboard and mouse shut off and wont turn on.. meaning I cant actually install the OS.. What is going on can someone please help me.. this is making me so [watch it] nervous..

Yes they are plugged into 3.0 slots. Ive tried plugging them into every usb slot I have and they work perfectly fine while in my bios but then when I try to install windows 7 they just shut off. I called microsoft and the idiot on the phone said my keyboard and mouse are broken and would need new ones and after I explained 3 times that no they are not broken, that they work and only shut off after I start installing windows 7 he said okay well youll have to take it to a local store to get help.. literally useless.

Mouse and keyboard must be plugged into the two USB 2.0 ports (black) directly under the PS/2 port. No others will work with the Windows 7 installer.

Then, in the BIOS's USB configuration make sure that:

USB Controller: enabled
XHCI Hand-off: enabled
Legacy USB Support: enabled (not auto)
