Requirements for a 2nd monitor

Hello,

Specs:

Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU
Asus TUF Gaming Z370-Pro Mobo
Intel i5 8600K CPU

Is an HDMI cable all I need to connect my 2nd monitor to the GPU and have it function? It's just a 60Hz monitor for casual browsing and watching streams.

Yep, just hook up the HDMI or Display Port cable from your GPU to the monitor and you will be good to go. You may need to go into window's display settings and select extend the display.

It depends on what free plugs are still available on your GPU and what kind of connection your new monitor has.
e.g. my KFA2 GTX1080EXOC has 1 HDMI, 3 DPs and 1 DVI-D.
If you used the same GPU and already used 1 HDMI to your older monitor, you could only use either DP or DVI-D to your new monitor.

Thanks for that detail! I checked and I have 2 HDMI ports on my GPU so that's what I ordered.
