I know this isn't new tech, but I haven't purchased one in forever and I think I might need a few more ports to run a couple more Ethernet lines in my house. Anything I should look for?

Thanks.

It depends on how into networking you want to get. Switches break down into managed and unmanaged. Unmanaged are power-and-go. Nothing to configure -- EVER. Managed switches can allow you to do a lot more, but require understanding of networking concepts.
The other thing that differentiates switches is POE or non-POE. If you believe any of your network drops will be cameras or WIFI access points, then a POE switch is desirable.
Under the hood, most switches are very similar because there are very few switch chip manufacturers.
