nVidia's page for requirements ain't that clear.I want to ask, can you have nVidia Surround(3 monitors) with just 1 card or do you NEED to have at least two cards in SLI?

Solution
Go AMD eyefinity for single card surround gaming. Go Nvidia for 3d surround.

The only single card you can do surround with Nvidia is the 590.

Most cards will have 2 dvi and HDMI *and displayport* outputs although the high-end "eyefinity 6" ones have multiple displayport outputs.

What you'd use would be one dvi to dvi cable, one hdmi to dvi cable and you also need an adaptor like this...

...which converts the displayport output on the card to dvi. (on mine)

You can also buy some cards which have it inbuilt but there aren't many of them AFAIK. The need for the adaptor is the one drawback for eyefinity's single card solution, but obviously it's a lot cheaper than buying 2 cards.

edit - fixed a mistake. My card has 2 DVI's, 1 HDMI and 1 Displayport. I can't quite remember how it goes but basically I think the rule is you MUST use the displayport output, hence the need for the extra adapter.
