Few things, first there is no such thing as graphene atoms, there are graphene molecules at best, graphene is made of Carbon atoms, and it's not the height of the graphene sheet, in 2D that would be one of the sides, as such were talking about the graphene sheet 1 atom thickness not height.

Exactly this.

For the benefit of the article's author, atoms are the smallest particle of an ELEMENT. If it isn't on the periodic table you cannot have an atom of it. Graphene is an ALLOTROPE of carbon, like diamond or graphite are.

Thanks for describing the structure. You did a good job with it. Too bad there weren't any pictures available. It would have made both of our jobs easier - you to describe it, me to understand it.
