PIMAX buy into this please we know Oculus isn't releasing a new HMD until 2019 so screw facebook and Mark. HTC is already to far along development on their new unite i doubt it will switch over but they just might and LG is finalizing their HMD so that is to late for them but I want better controllers for VR htc and lg are about the same giant bulky and antiquated in my opinion oculus is pretty sweet but still bulky with those rings. Hopefully vr gloves makes a major stance this year.

While I'm all for better & lighter lenses, I still think lightfield projectors are the gold standard.

Even these fancy metalenses are still fixed-focus, which is not how the eye & brain evolved to perceive things. Objects at different distances should be at different focal planes. This is very important for AR, but still relevant for VR - like when you want to inspect some virtual object up-close.
