[SOLVED] Reset HP laptop. Keeps asking for a location? Won't work.

I recently did a reset on an HP laptop and wiped it. Now it won't do anything really. I downloaded Windows 10 onto a USB flash drive but it won't open and only wants me to format it.

How, specifically, did you download this Win 10 onto the USB?

Download and run media creation tool from Microsoft. It will format the usb stick and download and write the required Windows files to the usb. Put the usb in your laptop and boot from it. You can then install windows on your laptop.
