Reset my Windows 8.

I just tried to reset my windows 8 Acer Aspire e 17 to factory default through the windows 8 option. It went to about 30% before it stopped and said Diagnosing pc, then saying preparing automatic repair. I have a windows 7 cd I was just going to use and reset it with that. But I cant even get to my loadup screen. Even after being turned off it will continue to loop this message. Ive tried my bios button but it will not work. Anyone know how to fix this or get to bios? Thanks.

Don't bother with factory resets, instead make an installer on USB or DVD (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media) and use that. Make sure you download the storage controller drivers and put them on that media (or separate USB/DVD) and load them during install.
