Hello everyone. to give u a mini back story of whats going on, overall i have a 3 monitor setup. Before it was a two 23 inchers for center and right, and a 20" for the left.
Today i purchased a 27 incher for the center, took the old 23 that was the center and moved it to the left where the 20"er was, and so now its a 27 incher for center and 2 23s for left and right.
That said, the problem im having is that the 23 incher i put in place of the 20"er, the monitors display is messed up. Its like the 23 is acting like it was the 20. Meaning that there are big 1-2 in black borders all around the left 23inch monitor.
I tried to run windows update to see if it had anything for me and it didnt. I then manually started to remove some nVidia drivers so that on restart it would i guess reset it and man....what a mistake. Nothing turned on AT ALL!!!
i was there for about 20 minutes and the screen and windows(8) would load up but when it was time to go onto the login screen, it would just go back and start blinking(all the screens).
i removed the cmos battery in hopes of resetting all settings and still nothing. So after a while, i did a manual restore from a few days ago and although im back in my system, the left 23 inch monitor is still "stuck" and behaving like it was a 20 incher. the icons are small, and ugly/distorted kinda.
i even turned everything off and removed the video card and all wires, restarted and loaded the system to force the PC to use one monitor, then restarted and put everything back and STILL!!!!
My question is, what can i do to restore this monitor to the way it should be? What else can i do to make the 23"er display as a 23 incher?
