Reset my Windows installation, but now I can't connect to the internet. Nothing I've tried seems to fix it.
About two days ago, I woke up and my computer was stuck in a windows automatic repair loop, and after trying a couple different things to fix it, I finally just did windows reset where I kept my personal files. That seemed to fix the issue of not being able to boot into my OS.
So, me being relieved after spending several hours trying to fix the automatic repair loop, I launch Microsoft edge and go to download a different browser, only to be told that I'm not connected to the internet. I figure this is probably like, a super easy fix. It is not a super easy fix.
I've done literally everything I could possibly think of in attempt to resolve this. I've done everything I possibly can to my drivers, I've flushed the DNS, I've switched ethernet cables, I've tried USB tethering my mobile data to my computer to see if it could use that (it cant), I've switched to both Google DNS and OpenDNS, I've restarted my router, I've reset windows again, and I've bought a new network card and installed that. I've been desperately searching through forums and asking friends who work in tech, trying to find an answer to my problem but I've not come across anything so far.
My computer understands that it's connected to my home network, but it doesn't think that there's an internet connection there. I'm able to access my hub manager from the PC, and even turn off internet for all my other devices from it. If I leave it on for long enough, like a couple hours, It'll say that I'm connected to the internet but I won't actually be able to access anything. The light in my ethernet port on the back of my PC also lights up like normal when the cable is plugged in.
I feel like this has to be a hardware fault, as everything I've tried on the software end has been unable to fix it. Do I need to replace the motherboard, or try something else? I really need some help here, as I have no clue on how to get this working again.
