That wouldn't do you any good. Once you put old disk with old windows, it will either work or not and you will have to reinstall windows. If it's W10 it will probably work, W7 most probably not, depending on how different new and old systems are.So the day after Christmas i should be getting a new motherboard cpu and ram and i wanted to know instead of formatting my hard drive if i could just click reset pc in the windows setting and then swap the hard drive.
