My computer was having constant freezing issues and after doing some research on my computer, the Dell XPS 8300, many people have solved the problem by resetting the BIOS. I was wondering how I could do this or if there is an alternate solution. Thank you and if you need any more detail please ask

U can try this.

Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.
And when the battery is out, press the power button to discharge all the electricity from the system.

to reset the BIOS just uplug then computer and remove the battery for a few minutes. then replace the battery and plug it back in. the battery is a larger shiny disk with a small clip holding it in. using a flat screw driver to move the clip might help. and be sure to touch any metal part of the case to ground yourself.
