Resetting custom PC without losing Windows licence

Hi!
I was just wondering if I factory reset my custom built PC, would it wipe the licence or would I just go back to the windows set up like I had just bought if from a manufacturer?

Resets don't touch the license, the install process after a reset starts at the point after entering the license, you don't need to know it for a reset.

will just put it back the way it came out of the box. will be no problems with activation and so on. all that is taken care of with the restore.

just plug it in and let it do it's thing

do remember to back up any data you may want to keep. as the factory restore will delete EVERYTHING on the pc!!

I've got a lot on two of my other HDD all I want to do is wipe my SSD, can disconnect the HDD's and then connect them when installing the OS again?

exactly what i do. disconnect them and then simply plug them back in once it is running again. not 100% needed but does prevent anything crazy from happening.
