Resetting Google Chrome.

A few things have been misbehaving in Chrome so I think it might be time for a clean up and a reset.

As far as I know one way of doing a reset is by simply deleting the user profile folder located at AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data

I want to retain my bookmarks, history, most visited website thumnails, autofill history maybe.

Am I able to back these things up from the user profile folder before resetting it?

I thought that too. Below is a screenshot of my Google sync dashboard. I tried this earlier, created a new Chrome user profile folder which reset Chrome but my synced items didn't restore. Is there some sort of trick to restoring with sync?

Just use a gmail account to login and sync your stuff back, it's easy.

I deleted my Chrome user profile folder to reset Chrome. Upon signing back into my account through settings I was prompted to sync my data back which everything has except all of my browsing history. So it does work except not all of my browsing history was synced. Would you have any idea why that happened?
