Anything that "puts a land into play" has nothing to do with the special
action of _playing a land_ as your one-per-turn Main-phase action, and is
not bound by any limits on playing lands.
You may sacrifice an artifact land for Reshape, as an artifact land in
play is an artifact; you may search for an artifact land card with Reshape, as
an artifact land card is an artifact card.

Yes; the converted mana cost of a land is 0, so you may search for one, having
chosen X as being 0.
