Question Resistance of indicator light in an iron ?

I've got a small hobby doing simple electrical repairs.

When the power is off, the resistance from 1 to 2 is about 3.5 mega-ohms. When the power is on, the light is on and the resistance from 1 to 2 is about 1.0 mega-ohms. Does that seem normal? Does the little light really have that much resistance?

I don't have access to the schematic. Are there types of small indicator lights that have high resistance? Do you think the light is based on incandescence or is it some kind of silicon chip like an LED?

Just sketch out your own schematic.

Based on what I could see in the posted image the iron may be much simpler than the examples.

Then make some additional measurements between points.

Apply Ohm's law thereafter.
