Resize Partition

Hey , one of my friends have a boot screen problem ... its a red boot screen and mostly its a linux OS or somethin like that ...

Simple Question : Is there a bootable tool to resize the HD partitions but also doesnt leave us with loss of stored data ?? If ther is a tool like that can you tell me its name ..

Usually a guide like this would help, however as you required in a bootable tool, then Gparted is a ideal tool for you and it is freeware.

As to other software like Partition Wizard or Easeus partition manager, they both require your pay to use the bootable version. If you do not need bootable, then they are good options.
