Hi all. I'm wondering if there are any settings or apps out there that would permit resizing window content to fit a window as I'm shrinking or enlarging it. I'm currently using a 43" 1080x1920 60 Hz television as a monitor. This gives me a lot of screen real estate, and the resolution is fine. The problem is that, as I type this, I'm seeing it in what would be like a 36 point font on paper. Same when I'm using Word or any other program. If I shrink the text manually, it's plenty readable (like a 12 point font on paper) at just 6 point font. What I'd like to do is to have the content of my windows shrink as I resize them manually. The Snap function is great and all, but it doesn't resize window content. The difficulty is that even if I were to manually resize fonts where I could (which makes it more trouble than it's worth), other items in the window like the taskbar remain the same. So where I've got a window that really only needs to take up 1/6 of my screen to be the size of a real sheet of paper, a third of that is being taken up by the taskbar.
It seems like this shouldn't be rocket science, yet I'm not able to find any settings or apps that get me where I want to be. Maybe another option is somehow tricking the TV or desktop into thinking that I'm running several monitors? I don't know, but I'd appreciate any suggestions.
