Hi

Which one of these resolution has smaller text size?

15 XGA : 1024 x 700
15.4 WXGA: 1280 x 800

I'm too lazy to do the geometry math, but .4 inches is roughly 1/30, while
260 pixels (over 1000 pixels) is roughly 20% more.

So, 1280x800 has smaller text.

15 XGA : 1024 x 768= 90.78pixels per inch (there is no 1024 x 700)
15.4 WXGA: 1280 x 800 = 98.02 pixels per inch

So the WXGA will be relatively smaller

woudn't be much smaller though - though I have to admit, widescreen isn't
usefull for quite a few things - office apps to web pages. I prefer 4:3
screen over 1.6:1
to most apps.

Movies & digital TV look great on widescreen monitor though.

just wondering if the new ultrasharp technology on WXGA would make text
clearer even though they r slightly slower. thus making up for the
difference.
