I recently built my first gaming pc, after extensive research and time planning. My graphics card is a Radeon RX480. As of right now, I do not have a proper PC monitor, just a 26" (or maybe 28") VIORE 60hz 1080p TV. I'm also using windows 10 Home x64. When I set the resolution to 1920x1080, it looks great but the screen is cut off on all edges. The recommended resolution in display settings is 1360x768 Tried changing aspect ration/zoom level on TV menu but nothing worked. I'm using a fairly high quality HDMI cord to connect graphics card to the tv. Is this just a matter of not having a PC dedicated monitor? Or is this some error with aspect ratio? Or maybe my rig is too good for this tv? (lol).
Even when I plug my computer into my higher quality 40" Samsung 1920x1080 hdtv, the screen is cut off and the recommended res is not 1080p.
An insight as to ways I could solve this would be much appreciated.

Ok so I found the HDMI scaling option, and set my resolution to 1920x1080. Then I moved the slider and to my shock and awe it actually changed the location of the edges of the screen to allow it to fit on the TV. The screen is definitely less blurry and more finer, however everything is really tiny! Or maybe I'm just not used to proper 1080p? Icons and the title of windows are REALLY tiny. Desktop icons are weird looking also

I looked for the model of TV i have to see it's specs and it's actually not 1920x1080, but 1920x1200... Idk if this is why 1920x1080 is so tiny looking?

You could use the Windows scaling option to increase icon size (right click desktop>display options>make text apps bigger or smaller slider) Not sure if this will affect Mod Organizer. Also look around for a 1920x1200 option and try it, should look even better and may solve you size issue.

Setting to 1920x1080, everything especially games looks as it should, but open windows, files in windows explorer, icons, etc are really small

Setting to 1920x1200, little changes except the screen is streched out unless i choos to preserve aspect ratio on radeon settings, which leaves me with black bars on left and right of screen

Changing size slider makes everything on desktop and taskbar WAY too big, and doesn't change size of title bars on open windows, files in windows explorer, etc are still tiny!

This is so frustrating, games look great and use full screen and resolution, but windows itself is messed up
