I just built a gaming pc with the following specs-
Ryzen 5 2600X
RX 580 Pulse 8 GB
16GB DDR4 RAM
Samsung 23.5 inch (59.8 cm) Curved LED Backlit Computer Monitor - Full HD, VA Panel with VGA, HDMI, Audio Ports - LC24F390FHWXXL (Black) - My Monitor

I previously had a gtx 750 ti with an i3 6100 with same monitor and I used to play csgo (Counter Strike Global Offensive) with a resolution 1024 x 768 70hz and after the AMD build I am can switch to the same resolution BUT cannot change the refresh rate from 59hz. Whenever I switch the refresh rate on 1024 x 768 resolution, it automatically changes the resolution to the lowest i.e, 800 x 600 . I have the latest adrenalin driver (not optional but tried it too and didnt work) 19.4.1 . My monitor supports freesync and I tried disabling it and trying but still didnt work . I ma ble to run 1920 x 1080 72hz no problem. kindly help me with the issue.

You could always attempt to change it from Windows instead of the AMD settings.

  • Right click on the desktop
  • click Display settings (at the bottom)
  • click Advanced Display settings
  • click Display adaptor properties for Display 1
  • a window should pop-up... select the Monitor tab
  • choose your refresh rate and apply
  • - or - on the adaptor tab select List All Modes, choose the setting you want, then Apply
