Resolution problem with AMD card

Hey I have tried reinstalling drivers two times and I got no luck I'm stuck with 1600x1200 resolution but one thing worries me it seems like drivers think my card is HD8670 or 7900 series instead of R280x.
Anyone knows how to solve this and get full hd resolution?

Have you installed the very latest drivers? Your issue of the R9 280X being treated as a 7900 series graphics card is characteristic of older drivers, which were not aware of the R9 280X. The R9 280X is a rebranded HD 7950 with the same GPU and very similar specifications across the board, so older drivers would identify it as such.
