I just got a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB and I wanted to install Windows 7 (64-bit) on it. I disconnected my HDD and connected the SSD where I then booted up my computer and launched the Windows installer from the disc (this is a company disc from my dad's job). After the installation, the resolution was very bad so I went to the control panel to fix it but it wouldn't let me increase the resolution to more than 1280x1024 which is weird because I have a 1920x1080 monitor and when I boot from my HDD it works fine. I do recall changing the resolution to 1920x1080 the first time I installed Windows (on the HDD) through the initial steps of the Windows installer so it is strange that it didn't do that this time. Does anybody know a solution to my problem? Thanks!
