Resolution vs Speed

So I’m upgrading from my old dell p1911 19” monitor to another one. I don’t have exact models I’m looking at, but for Forza Motorsport 7, Team Fortress 2, and a couple of FPS games, where should I get my monitor to specialize in, speed or high res?

Thanks for the feedback. Is it possible you could find me a good monitor that does so. I would prefer something that is flat and is between 24" to 30". G-Sync would be nice, but it is not a necessity. If not, that's fine.

MOBO: Biostar B250GT5
GPU: EVGA GTX 1050 (Not the Ti)
PSU: Corsair CX 450m
Memory: 2x4 gb ddr4-2400 ram

Ok, yea for that build I'd probably look at 1080P and then a 75hz or faster refresh rate. Depending on your budget Gsync may not be possible but vsync would be fine.

Ya I’ll probably take the vsync route until I get enough cash for a more midtier build, then I would get a gsync. Thanks for the info.

No problem, if you do look at monitors that are 75hz and above it doesn't matter if there Freesync (AMD) as you'll still be able to utilize the higher FPS and there cheaper then the Gsync counterparts.
