i am a riffleman and get TONS of carn meat which my city baker likes but i
also get tons of looted junk and other meats.
also as a scout i get alot of odd foods and what not..

now noody in my city wants this stuff and tell me to destroy it but it seems
a waste...is there a way to sell off this stuff or even put it in my own
vender for free to anyone who wants it?

must i be a certain skill to own and use a vender?

also is there a pricelist anywhere of the general going rates for resources
such as 1k of carn meat?

i tried fishing and it took forever to get a tiny amount and nobody wanted
it when i was done..lol.

SWG needs a real junk vender to buy off anything you have for sale...id
rather get one credit for a thing then destroy it...

whenever i do see a junk vender all they want is my guns etc..lol.

Well, As a Master BE I can tell you that meats with stats below 500 in
Flavor/PE/OQ are not very useful to me beyond making cloned pets. For
that the quality of the meat does not matter.

You will find this true to Chefs as well I think. I have a guildie
that dumps TONS of stuff he has looted from lairs on my BE Vendor. He
is being nice and I don't have the heart to tell him to stop... So
every couple of weeks I buy a ton of the stuff at 1 credit a unit and
then just destroy it.

As far as a index of prices, I do not know of one.

depends, whether or not people buy it. i have seen some ask 100-150 credits
per unit for avian meat.(what a joke)
wooley hide and leathery hide that has high oq and shock resistant you could
get at least 10 cpu. find an armor smith for it.
there are also 3 types of junk vendors i have found. one for clothing, for
weapons, and then one for the various other things you might pick up. you
only get about 35-50 credits per item. but as you say, " you hate to destroy
it"
weapon vendors are in most cantinas, sometime in the back part. othere you
just have to look for. in coronet there is one by the shuttleport across
from med center.

If you are playing on the Naritus server, there is a vendor near
Bestine on Tatooine that will buy any hide, bone or meats for 5 cpu. I
had been going through the bazaar and buying any bulk quantities and
reselling them for a small profit.

Are these things NPC Vendors or Player vendors???

It has to be a player vendor. Probably a smuggler since the resource stats
don't currently matter for making spices.

i love the game but hate it for the details..lol.
i am a simple guy and all this stuff with stats etc is wearing on me..lol.

i have a guild mate who got a pistol thats worth like 20 mil...it doesnt
last any longer then a normal one but has these supposedly freakish rating
on it..i dunno ..lol.its all greek to me as they old saying goes...

ohmigosh I thought I was the only one.
I can't buy a piece of armor that I need also because I don't have this that
or the other to be able to wear it.
And some is more expensive than others and I can't tell the different even
with the numbers.
This part of the game is the only thing that makes me miss Final Fantasy XI
as you don't have to think so hard it's so easy to play and catch on to:)

There are junk vendors who'll be happy to help you get rid of looted items.

I loot tons of shirts and pistols and belts etc all usless to me but still a
shame to destroy.
I did get a twin force crystal off npc in front of cnet...
of course everyones like it must be junk..lol..the hatters..lol

When you are in a permanent (not player) city, bring up the city map and
look for vendors. These will all (I think) be Junk Vendors. Some are
outside, like off to the right of the Coronet Starport entrance. Others are
in Cantinas or Guild Halls.

You need the third box of Business in Artisan to have a vendor.

If you don't want to destroy your odd bits of foods, a Novice Medic could
use it for their "A" stims and wound packs. The lower stats don't matter
much to them because the end result won't be great regardless.

Yes, being a Doc I vouch for that. Just give em to medics.
