Resource to learn about CPU architectures & its advantages

Hello,
I want to learn about different CPU architectures viz. Dual Core, Core Two Duo, i3, i5, i7 etc. along with its advantage / disadvantages in simple language. Is there any restriction of software on different CPUs? If yes then why? Etc., etc. Can anyone help me please?

Just Google around and you'll find what you need. Or buy books, find videos on Youtube, or type .pdf as the end of your Google search. That's what I do.
