Ressetting, or clean installing windows 10

So i recently upgraded my pc to sell to my brother. I added an ssd alongside a 1tb hdd and upgraded to windows 10with a liscence my college gave me. I had some,issues with the game,counterstrike freezing so last resort i decided to fully reset because i had no data to lose. No it has completely frozen,at 3%. What should i do? I cant reinstall windows becuase it was an upgrade key,and itis completely frozen. Any tips that will help this,not become a useless brick would be appreciated

the upgrade is free from MS. what exactly did your college give you to do the upgrade since it is free for everyone anyway? no key is needed for anyone except your current valid win 7 or 8.1 installation.

i also don't understand what you mean by "frozen at 3%" did you do a fresh install and somehow it stopped at 3%? i'm confused at what you tried to do and why.

As far as that goes, just do a clean install. Since you upgraded it should have stored that computers new win10key somewhere. Supposedly it will just know. Either that or you needed to have used a microsoft account to tie the info to.

Plug the SSD into your PC and run Key Finder. Switch the hive by choosing the windows folder on the SSD instead of your own.
