Restart BIOS first before replacing a old unlocked processor?

I am going to replace my Sempron 140 which is unlocked to Athlon II x2 4400e. But before removing it or replacing anything, do I need to reset the BIOS? Because I remember that unlocking increases voltages or something. I am a bit new to unlocking. I thought of this problem right after disassembling the whole thing.

Bottomline: Do I need to reset the BIOS (because it unlocked the Sempron 140) before replacing a new processor?

I have a BIostar A780L mobo.

yes but you dont need to reassemble, just use the clr cmos jumper/button.
