Hey all. I recently got a pc put together, got it home and it wouldn't boot, the motherboard had an orange VRAM light on and all the fans and LEDS powered on but the system wouldnt boot or even get to BIOS even though the m2 drive had Windows installed on it. I inserted a USB with Windows installation media on it and it booted up fine, everything was working fine and i installed steam and GeForce experience and restarted the pc. The pc would not turn back on and now its not booting again and the orange VRAM light is back on. Maybe it's not detecting the m2 drive properly? Even though when it's on the m2 works fine, i really have no idea, any help would be much appreciated.

My specs are: CPU: i7 9700k

MB: asus rog strix z390f gaming

RAM: corsair vengeance RGB pro 2x 16gb ddr4 32000

GPU: 1070

SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVMe 1.3 M.2

PSU: Corsair RM750 750W 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular Power Supply

All the parts have been checked and are working.

The orange VRAM Led is there to notify the user what is wrong, (EZ Debug LED), if the VRAM LED is lit, it's a problem with your GPU. although, I have an ASUS ROG Strix X570, which is almost identical to yours, just the AM4 socket, not Intel, and I wonder if you have "VRAM" mixed up with "DRAM", because my GPU LED is listed as VGA. I would double check the LEDs

but, i will assume you installed your GPU using proper precautions and right methods...
i.e Statically discharged yourself prior to touching unpowered PC components, pressing the case power button after installing the GPU, but before plugging in the PSU (to tell motherboard new GPU was installed) and of course all the other obvious stuff you probably already know

Edit...

Edit: Please view your motherboard's User manual: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/.../E14842_ROG_STRIX_Z390-F_GAMING_UM_V2_WEB.pdf

see page 1-9 in "Motherboard Layout" for the "MemOK!!" Switch, it will help you determine if your RAM is improperly installed

Note: When using only 2 sticks of RAM, it is important you install them in slots DIMMA1 and DIMMB1 (1st and 3rd slots from CPU)
