Restarting Windows 8

I previously upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8 and now my system is starting to get BSOD every few hours so I want to restart my windows 8 but when i try this it asks for a CD but i dont have one, how would i go about fixing this.

I have another question I have 2 storage devices on my computer, one is a SSD for the OS and the other is a Hard drive for my images, games and videos... I dont wanna lose all these so would it be safe for me to clean up my hard drive then remove it from the computer and restart the system or will I have to reformat the hard drive after plugging it back in, I have GigaBytes of things on there that I dont want to lose... How would I go about keeping it all safe? I dont wanna restart windows and keep all data and documents on the SSD...

Download this and run it, it will tell you your Windows CD key,
After that, go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media
and select "create media"

It will download Windows 8 or any other you want and burn them on DVD or create a bootable USB Flash....

As for the SSD and Hard Drive, as long as you have separated partitions, and personal files stored on the partition that is not primary and does not house the OS you should be fine, but just in case I'd suggest you backup the files you need the most

oh yes, and make sure you write down the CD key...

BSOD can also mean that you should update your drivers, and it can also mean a problem with your motherboard...but that's not my area, so I'll just tell you about reinstalling the OS
