[SOLVED] "restore plan defaults" button greyed out in power settings (windows 10 1903)

Another day in windows 10 another problem, it seems in advanced power settings after choosing a power plan on good old control panel, "restore plan defaults" button is greyed out I cannot click even after choosing other plan while in that window. I mean the window where all micro settings located, like sleep, wireless sleep, harddisk wake up and processing power management etc. Any idea why that button is greyed out? I have to default a plan named high performance and that button was the only option to default its micro values. I tried a admin CMD command also on powershell resulted me this error "The power scheme, subgroup or setting specified does not exist." I'm on Windows 10 1903 18362.720 , my other pc are also in 1903 but different build and have that button clickable. But not on this computer so I guess its build related.

there is literally no way for me currently to default high performance settings nor power saver and balanced, I never used such a broken OS before in my life, even Windows 8.1 was working

u can restore microsoft plans only, pick one from rolldown menu, then it should work, if u have injected some (like ryzen does when installing chipset drivers), those custom profiles wont work

Its the original default power plan's itself micro values cannot be defaulted because button is greyed out under detailed settings window, this is a desktop computer so I do not have special motherboard power plans. Should I install latest chipset drivers from AMD or ASUS website to get that button working again?

then execute it, reboot may be needed when editing windows registry

but anyway id suggest you to install fresh new windows (no repair/upgrades) if u have corrupted registry

also test your ram with memtest and drive for bad sectors / smart info

you welcome, but keep in mind, registry values doesnt dissapears on their own, if theres no hardware fault, then id blame some junk software (cleaners, windows performance boost apps...etc)
