A few months ago, I restored a PC and put the wrong OS on it (my own oversight). Now I'm getting "Not a Genuine version" prompts. I went through the same process I did before (getting the correct iso this time-7 Home Prem vs Pro) and using the Windows 7 tool to make a usb into a bootable device.

This time, I kept getting bootsect error. Looked this up and decided to try Rufus. Seemed successful until I tried to boot from the usb and the boot process seemed to just stop when it started searching for a boot device. I changed the priority order, so that shouldn't be it. I let it go for a couple of minutes thinking it was just trying to figure stuff out, but like I said, it seemed to just stop.

Not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong...

Looked into this.

Integrated Peripherals section has a Legacy Option that IS enabled.

I went into Advanced BIOS and checked boot order as well. In there, there is an option to boot from Legacy LAN.

Those are the only two places I saw Legacy mentioned.
