restoring of formatted drive d

my local disk (D) has got totally formatted and i dont have any back up files ... i desperately want those files thats includes everything of my study materials ....how can i restore those formated files ... its memory is nearly about 40 GB ??

Well, if you Google 'data recovery tools' you will find a host of solutions and you may even be able to acquire a free one that will work for you with such a small amount of data.

Be careful though and until you have recovered your data, do not write any more data to drive D at all or you will completely lose your files.
