Restoring Toshiba L300 to factory settings for resale

I am trying to clear my Toshiba L300 to factory settings, i have followed all the instructions on here, but none of them take me to the restore area. Holding down the zero key when i switch the power on doesn't have any affect (everything just continues through the normal start up process) no beeps or anything.. Is there any other way i can access the restoration area? Thanks for your time

restore to the first backup (all manufactures makes a backup before selling their product)

after restoring, do not turn on the laptop (to be sure you can turn it on but don't complete the OS installation) and you are good to sell it.
