Retail, and a new motherboard

Hello,
I want to upgrade my motherboard. Now I have a retail copy of windows 7 installed, but what is going to happen if I just throw in a new motherboard? Will I end up having to re-install windows, or is there a way around this?

It depends on what the old and the new motherboards are. If they both have similar chipsets, then all you'll have to do is register Windows 7 again.
