I just retired my Sanyo 6200 and opted for a VGA 1000. This is
turning out to be a terrible mistake. Where as I use to get excellent
reception through out my house, I now have to go out to the front
balcony and turn just so to keep from dropping the call. Also, is it
true that all Samsungs DO NOT ring thru the ear piece (headset)? The
guys at the Sprint store tell me this is true, after the fact. They
will not trade for a like model Sanyo. The phone is rendered useless
in the car if the windows are open just a tad or if the radio is up as
I cannot hear it. 6 years and four lines are all going to the way
side because of this alone...

I've had a A620/VGA1000 for the past year or so, and I thought its
reception was just as good as my wife's Sanyo 8100. The A680 I'm trying
out seems even better. I'm surprised your A620 is so much worse than
your 6200. I wonder if it's a problem with that particular handset, not
all A620's.

The Samsung A680 I'm using does not ring thru the headset (the Sanyo
8100 does). I don't know if my A620 did. But if I set the Samsung A680
for Headset Auto-Answer (Menu 8-9-4 on the A620 or Menu 8-8-5 on the
A680), then the headset makes 4 beeps on an incoming call and then in
another couple of seconds it auto-answers.
