Question Retrieve data from chromebook from Linux usb

Hello​

I have a need to retrieve data from a chromebook that is locked to a login-network. Lite a domain - a school.

Well i brought the compuer when I quit and now I cant really use it. And I am really asking if it is possible to retrieve data from the hard drive by starting from a usb stick with Linux.

I hope to find some documents or emails of mine. Also I am a little intruged to try at least.

So - I need to know if this even possible. I dont need instructions unless you have some tips. But mostly I do not wanna end up spending a couple of days doing this and then realize its not even possible.
