My parents old laptop died a while ago and I have the hard drive. I have hooked up the laptop drive in my desktop with the power and SATA cables. I booted from my standard drive.
Going to computer management from the control panel, the computer recognizes that a new hard drive is plugged in and says it is unallocated. I initialized the drive (not sure if I should have done that...). So right now the computer says that 'disk 0' is online and unallocated.
What should my next step be to get their data off of it?
